We know your home can feel priceless — particularly if you’ve lived in it for years, and shared some of your best memories inside it. However, when you’re looking to sell your home, and sell it quickly, you want to be sure you’re not over-asking from buyers. Realtors can help with comps of other homes, similar to yours, which have sold in your neighborhood. Don’t price out of the market, and be wary of under-pricing too. Like Goldie Locks and the three bears, you want to find the price range that is just right.
They say the devil is in the details, so be sure you focus on the minor fixes and compliances. We can’t stress enough how important regular maintenance and upkeep are to attracting buyers. Consider this: would you want to buy a home where you’ll have to replace the water heater, refrigerator, air conditioning unit, or any other appliance, within the same year you buy the home?
The exterior of your home, in particular the curb appeal, is what gives a buyer his or her first impression of your home. Inviting, well-manicured, and seasonally maintained front porches and yards are great to wow any potential home owner. Lush plants, a tasteful wreath, or even a few brightly adorned accessories like new pillows in front porch chairs can really go a long way!
