The Most Walkable Neighborhoods in Nashville

Walkability has become a feature that many homebuyers look for searching for their new home. Walkability means different things to different people, but Nashville is not considered a highly walkable city by many standards. The introduction of a mass transit system may help that outlook in the near future. Nashville has also recently implemented a bike sharing program that helps connect many neighborhoods together.

While opinions vary on what makes an area “walkable”, the Walk Score is a tool that many people find useful & reliable for general information. We always recommend to speak to an area resident or real estate agent to get a sense of specific needs that may not be represented in the Walk Score. For families, this usually means safety & a school within walking distance.
