Nashville Neighborhood Spotlight: Spring Hill

In recent years, more and more families are moving to Spring Hill: an up-and-coming neighborhood outside of Nashville. Much like it’s neighbor, Franklin, Spring Hill is a combination of picturesque rural living and a thriving city.

Only a short interstate ride from Nashville, Spring Hill feels like a world onto itself. 30 miles from Music City, and the site of a civil war battle, there is a plenty of charm to this growing town. Spring Hill boasts beautiful parks such as Harvey Park and Evans Park, perfect for family outings and nature lovers. It’s also home to the Rippavilla Plantation, which was the home of Nathaniel Frances Cheairs IV in the late 19th century, and today serves as a museum and historic site.

When it comes to education and the work force, Spring Hill is one of the best-educated cities in Tennessee, boasting a high school diploma achievement rate of 90 percent. It also features a low unemployment rate of around 3.7 percent. The cost of living is lower in Spring Hill than in Franklin or Brentwood. The median home cost in Spring Hill is around $183,800, with home appreciation at 9.80 percent over the last year.

The city features a growing number of top-of-the-line boutiques, shops, restaurants, and entertainment. It also showcases large areas of undeveloped land, providing plenty of scenic routes and landscapes.
