Nashville Homes For Sale: Big And Small Lots

As we discussed previously in this post, lot size is not always the first priority for a home search. Yet, inevitably all Nashville home buyers have an awareness of lot size when house hunting. Some Nashville homes for sale have enormous lots and some have very, very small lots. Each size brings pros and cons, depending on the lifestyle of the homeowner. We serached the Nashville MLS and found some great options for both big and small lots.

Here are some of our favorite Nashville homes for sale with both big and small lots.

Small lots: round up of the mighty mini-lots

For small lots, we looked for lots that have less than half an acre. What is interesting is the diversity of homes found on lots this size. Some are older, some are brand-new construction. There are some detached townhomes, some homes under 1200 square feet and family homes with over 3200 square feet. What all the homes have in common though is a small lot, which means less yardwork!

This fantastic, spacious home in Thompson Station is one of the largest homes on the under .5 acre lot list. With over 3,200 square feet, this home has everything a family could want. There are plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, garage space and more to accomodate everyone. Plus, the growing area of Thompson Station is absolutly booming right now and homes in this area are not on the market long!

Another family friendly choice, this home listing in Goodlettsville is a classic beauty. The beautiful home has features like travertine tile, hardwood floors, crowm molding and much more. Also included in the 2,800 square feet is a huge master suite and screened-in porch. This home is a great fit for Nashville homebuyers looking for a short commute to downtown.

Nashville homebuyers looking to stay in the middle of it all will fall in love with this Craftsman style detached townhome in Davidson County. This brand-new pocket neighborhood is geared toward homeonwers looking for a small community envirnment, without a large yard and major upkeep. The floor plan is also a fantstic fit for roomates, single homeowners, or young couples just starting out.

Big lots: round of up of the places with room to roam

For big lots, we looked at lots over an acre. An acre is already enough room to host pick-up football games in the backyard. Nashville homes for sale with over an acre lot size are for homeowners looking for some serious roaming room or at least a lot of space from the neighbors. Most of the time, this means trees and landscaping and privacy not often found in smaller lots.

This home listing in White House is truly unique! With over 41 acres, this big lot is all about location and setting. The historic home has modern ammenities, but captures the essence of a former time when homeowners spent time on porches and decks, watching the quiet of the world around them. This home is an unbelievable retreat for those looking to make a change and get a little further out.

This Franklin listing is just right for Nashville homebuyers seeking to have a little space, without feeling too far removed from everything. The quiet home is secluded on over 2.5 acres, but still close enough to feel convenient grocery stores and more. The features of this home include 2 large covered porches, a 3 car garage and beaded tongue and groove ceilings.

Not all big lots mean acres and acres of land. This wonderful executive home in Hendersonville has just over 1.4 acres with a house that has over 4,200 square feet. The all-brick home is stunning and located in a neighborhood coveted for the large lots and mature landscaping. The short drive to Nashville makes this an easy commute as well.

Naturally, there are hundreds more houses for sale in Nashville, with both big and small lots. Want to see what else is avaialble? Check out the Nashville MLS listing here and let us know what you might want to see!
