Smart homebuyers have always looked for good deals on homes they know will increase in value. But after the housing market meltdown several years ago, today’s buyers are even more determined to find a bargain, and they’re careful about which homes they choose to spend their hard-earned money on.
To catch the attention of these savvy prospective buyers, you need to price your home attractively and play up the features that today’s buyer will find most valuable.
You could guess at how to do that yourself, but most likely, you’ll end up wasting time and money while your home sits on the market. However, an experienced real estate agent can help you get your strategy right the first time, saving you valuable time and getting your home sold at a much better price. A recent report from the National Association of Realtors shows that homes sold through a real estate agent averaged $235,000 while the average seller without a real estate agent sold their home for just $208,700.
